Hello Intro Scholars,

I hope everyone had a great break (mine sucked, I had bronchitis).

We had a great class the last time we met as we began talking about learning… we will pick up from there tomorrow. I have made some slight adjustments to our scheduled outline that I believe will benefit almost all of you. You can check it here… it has always been linked from our homepage.

Here is the break down as we continue to learn and move forward…

Intro Scholars,

Remember today is a reading day becasue I am going to make a presentation this afternoon at a CE conference. Use your time wisely to get a jump start on the learning material. You might even want to download a podcast and then you can compare my lectures to those of folks from Berkley, MIT, etc. Just search for psychology and learning on iTunes.

In addition, sign up for BATTLE OF THE SEXES this Thursday. I will pay for one girls team and one boys team from my class. The first ones to contact me get my $10. (I’d also like to see the Sigma Chi guys have a team, I’ll put one in for you guys too… if you can get enough people together). Remember the prize is $100, that’s a lot of cash in pocket for a Thursday night

You can have 2-6 people on your team ($10 entry fee per team)

All of our profits will go toward building a cat house at PAWS. We want to build a structure so the cats and kittens can get outside and be adopted.

So most folks finished really fast (was it to easy?). I’m not sure how good that is for the learning process we are undertaking. I would like to encourage all of you to take your time… you should be using that exam experience to prep for the collaborative exam. In turn, that will help prepare you for the final.

I will post exam groups here on Wednesday. Now that you know what to expect, I will be splitting you up into groups of 4. Make everyone contribute an make it a learning experience.

Just a reminder we are meeting in Rogers today for the exam… the tentative class outline is inaccurate… I have corrected it for the future… I will see all of you at 3:35

afternoon. Dr. Kevin Vagi will be presenting his research in the area
of child development. We will get together at 1:30 pm in Dunlap 320. I
hope to see some of you there.
